I love this place. I go here every time I am in Cedar Falls. What fun! The food is great and I am a huge fan of Mongolian grills, and this one is good. The food is fresh, the service is quick and the lunch price is really good! I wish one would come to Phoenix!

Very fast food considering the number of customers. You get to customize your own plate. First plate wonderful: beef, veggies, one ladle 5 alarm, 2 ladles peanut Thai, 2 ladles medium hot. Second plate weaker because "crab" was rubbery and calamari flavorless. Wide selection prepared well.

We used to frequent to HuHot in Orlando back in the day, but after it closed and we didn't live anywhere that had one, I kinda forgot about this quirky Mongolian BBQ place...thankfully, we re-discovered it on this trip back to Iowa and had an enjoyable meal. For about $12 at dinner, you get unlimited trips to the grill + soup or salad. I like the sauces that allow you to make your own kind of pad thai. Our server was very friendly and the food was good.

I love coming to HuHot. The food is always great, but with a chain restaurant, it usually is! However, I want to comment on the wonderful service that we had. Our server was attentive, funny, and pleasant to be around. The cooks at the grill were talkative, funny, and polite. My one complaint is that my cheesecake that I got to go wasn't that great, but it's not exactly a place to go for dessert.

Love this place!!! You pay 10 or 15 bucks or so for a full meal and you can make your own wok basically. Fill your bowl as many times as you want with delicious meats and veggies and sauce. They cook it for you in front of you. It's a really cool experience and the food is super good too. You get a bowl of rice with a meal and it really brings it all together. Super good. In fact I would say this is the best restaurant for everyone in your party to get what they want in this shopping center. There isn't a better restaurant in this area.

This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. Some people would say that they do not want to try it because it is Mongolian, but it is basically filling a bowl with meats, noodles, and vegetables and then adding sauces. Service is decent, but you mainly serve yourself. This is done by going up to a buffet like bar and adding meat, followed by noodles and vegetables and then sauce to a bowl. You then go to a grill and they cook the dish right there, with it taking about 4 minutes. I recommend trying a variety of things to find out what you like most. I also so highly recommend the s'mores at the end. They are $8, but well worth it. They bring a little tray like camp fire to your table and you make them right there. 5/5 stars.

I've been here loads of times, but this is my first actual review. The restaurant is pretty self explanatory; you get exactly what you put into your bowl. Service isn't spectacular, but it's rarely bad. You serve yourself for the most part; they typically leave a pitcher of water at your table. I would recommend branching out and trying different combinations to find what you like best. I like putting a wide variety of vegetables, meats, and sauces.

Short Version: While this is the "Americanized" version of Stir Fry, if you like that type of food, I think HuHot is a good place to go. All of the wait staff was friendly, all of the toppings and everything were fresh and full, and the chefs and waitress were friendly. If this is your type of food, I'd definitely recommend. Long version: I'd never been to HuHot or any other type of HuHot-esque restaurant before. I have to admit that I've never been a huge fan of stir fry food, but I figured it was time I tried out something new. For a first experience, I gotta say that HuHot did a decent job. This is not your "typical" restaurant. Basically, you get seated. You tell the waitress what drinks you want as well as if you want any appetizers, side dishes, or desserts (though I think you can pick out the desserts later if you want). You then get up and grab a bowl to customize your "actual" meal. First, you add in whatever meats you want. They have choices such as mild sausage, chicken, pork, and others. You then pick out your noodles. I chose Yakisoba, but they also have Pad Thai and Chinese here. You then add on as many veggies as you'd like including beans, brocolli, spinach, tomatoes, pineapple, etc. You then choose or mix and match your favorite sauces. Each one has a description of what the sauce tastes like as well as a "spicy" level. They have recommended recipes for those who are new, and they recommend quite a few scoops of the sauces for the best taste. After you've filled up your bowl (or don't fill it all the way up. Up to you!), you stand at the grill. The grill chefs will take your bowl, dump it onto their grill, and cook your food. This is surprisingly entertaining to watch. It'll be about 3 or 4 minutes of waiting while you watch it get prepared (it's pretty awesome!), and then they'll return it to you on a plate. You then take your plate and sit down and whatever other foods/drinks you ordered will be sitting and waiting for you. For a FULL list of what most HuHut restaurants offer as well as the nutrition of said food, you should check out the HuHot website: huhot.com/build-a-meal You can get up and get a brand new bowl of food as many times as you'd like. It costs $9.99 per person. The employees were very friendly. The lady who seated us was very nice. The waitress at our table was nice as well. I'd never been here before, and she recited information about the process that she'd memorized. I wish it had been a bit more personalized, but it got the point across. She was very attentive throughout our entire time there. The grill chefs, while not really interacting with customers, were still high energy and made it all look very interesting. I'd say they did a good job as well. All-around good staff. In terms of quality, the food itself was very fresh, and all of the options were very fresh. The tomatoes were lively looking and none of the veggies looked soggy. None of the veggies were in other veggie's containers, either. They all seemed to be in the right place. Even the area around the sauce counter was surprisingly clean! The only thing I'm a bit "meh" on is the food. The stir fry was good, but it wasn't fantastic. This, however, could be my personal preference and the fact that I don't like stir fry too much to begin with. Other friends have remarked that, while good, the food here doesn't compare to genuine stir fry restaurants either. On both occasions that I got food, I also found parts of "other people's" food in my dish as well because of the close proximity on the grill. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying. Turns out I'm still not a huge stir fry fan. If friends were coming back, I'd have no qualms coming back, and I'd actually be okay with it, but I'm not sure this is a place that I'd seek out on my own.

Pretty solid visit today at lunch. We were seated right away and our waitress came and ordered our drinks right away. I love that they have the coke machine with all the different flavors. We came at the right time because the frill wasn't too busy. I got my standard items I always get: beef , crab, cabbage, green beans, carrots & baboon shoots and rice noodles. I tried their seasonal black pepper sauce , it was really flavorful. I just did one ladle of it anymore and it would have over powered it. The waitress was really attentive and kept our refills coming and dirty plates cleared. She didn't smile much but was in no way rude. It was $31 for my dad, me and my seven year old. Not too terrible, better than going for dinner when they charge you the larger rate for a Noel of soup or a salad. I just wish it were cleaner. There is like a film of grossness on the floor, the columns and everything around the grill. Get a mop bucket and some dawn and wipe everything down!

I left full but in complete wonder of HOW this place passes inspection. Completely filthy. I went on a Monday at 5pm. We were the first ones there and it was filthy. Food on the floor, the food buffet bins were a mess with cross mixing of food in bins, food in sauces, food and sauce dripping down counters... Bathroom doors sticky... Staff was nice but I will not be going back solely due to cleanliness...

I went to one of these in another town like 6 years ago, couldn't believe how popular its gotten! We had a 15 minute wait! You go on a weekend expect to pay $10 per person and have a minor wait. Here's how to make this place work: do your first bowl small, to get the sauces right. Then either continue doing small bowls for different flavors or have your second bowl your main course. The chefs are friendly and kind to vegetarians, don't forget to tip! Good Asian food, not super hip but its a good stable.

My family and I are big fans of this restaurant. I have been to HuHot's where the cooking is hit or miss but this location cooks to perfection! The grillers are always very friendly and the people who restock the food of the bars are quick and efficient.

Average food. Meat was sliced really thin and rice was under cook. Servers and cooks were nice. BD's is way better.

Huhot is a fabulous restaurant. Pay for an all you can eat buffet filled with meat and vegetables. First, you pile up your choices of uncooked meat and raw vegetables and you can add different seasonings and oils on top. Take it over to the grill and the chefs will cook it for you. Everyone watches their expertise, and then they give you back your bowl. Off you go back to your table and they'll give you a bowl of rice. Go back as many times as you like. What I liked best about HuHot is that they have an allergy chart for the sauces. The chart indicates soy, peanut, wheat, and some other allergens in the sauces. I could figure out which sauces to use. Yeah! So, once I got to the grill, I told them I had a wheat allergy. The chef double cleaned a wider area for cooking, and then shouted "Allergy on the table." At this point all chefs made sure that their products did not leak over to the allergy free area. They also use clean spatulas to cook the food. By the time, you get your food, no one really knows who has the allergy or not. I don't really care if people do know that I am wheat allergic and thought it was great that they all took my allergy seriously. The wait staff was great about finding out if certain menu items had allergens. Everyone was fantastic! I had a great time. I was in Cedar Falls for the University of Northern Iowa job fair, and came here with a friend, and then later went there again alone. They don't have these on the West Coast. Too bad! I think I would be going here every day.

The food is very good (and plenty of it) for the price. But the atmosphere and entertainment is poor compared to other HuHot's I have been to. Many of the others I have seen have had very energetic chefs who are engaged with the customers and sing "HuHot Songs" while they are grilling. At this location, it seems like all the chefs are struggling to stay awake and beat the heat of the grill-- very unenthusiastic and lacking of any emotion. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice place to go for lunch or a weekend dinner. But the experience could be a lot better.

This is a good restaurant and the only Mongolian grill in the Cedar Vally Area. I have been to other Mongolian Grill chain restaurants that are better, but they are not local. You will get good food and good service. But I always feel a little greasy when I leave this restaurant.

The food here is great! We used to frequent this place when I was working in Cedar Falls. It feels great to know what you're eating when you're forced to eat out all of the time for work You get to choose your own meat, veggies, noodles and sauce- like most Mongolian grills. This place is fun and always busy.
